It looks like its off the road again,on friday night some inconsiderate motorcyclist parked his 600 hornet in the side of it,

A fair bit of damage needs to be sorted.
The rider rolled infront of the van straight through the oncoming traffic and ended up un the pavement reletively unscathed just a bit bruised,quite lucky really,His bike is totaled tho.

Imagine my shock when i realized the rider was the mechanic from work

Cant help thinking that im not meant to have my van on the road at all

Is that even fixable at all?

That box section and the frame bit look fubar'd.
You cant really "just cout out the damage and weld in new bits" ...can you?

Glad to hear that nobody got seriously hurt

Its fixable but insuance will write it off no doubt at all, cat C. You could buy it back and fix it with your pay out.

You certainly get more than your share of bad luck.

Im already on with it ,I made it drivable on saturday when i understood that we wernt going to go through the insurance claim route,but as of today is seems we are

Ive explained to them that the van stays with me and if/when they write it off that i will be buying it back,so now ive just got to wait untill i get the go ahead from the insurance company that i can fix it.
The next job on my list to do was the bodywork anyway i just didnt want to do it just yet. now ive got no choice.
but i can imagine it finished,and i can do a few mods while im on with it

so it cant be all bad,eh?

Sorry to see whot has hapened.Unfortunatly unless u have a very good agreed value the insurance will wright it off.
