why dont some people selling syncros say the lockers work or not,what the hell is diff locks not tested,you know wether they work or dont,its like my eberspacher isnt tested,translates into it doesnt work but its easier to say not tested,i know its a rant but i get this every week,cj.
bought some real off roaders!!!!!!!

CJ, i think you'll find it says something like "assume they dont work"

I personally think thats a fair thing to say. BUT i will go out now and see what the score is!

Oh and by the way, the Eberspacher is fully tested, fully working, fully operational and ready to pump out hot air!

As i suspected the diff locks are not functioning.

To quote the Wiki....

"Commonly won't work if unused/not maintained for a year or so - usually not a serious problem to fix"

I've not used it for hardcore offroading, hence never needed the diff locks. We purely wanted the vehicle as a practical tool.

I should also mention that its had a new clutch too.

This vehicle is now sold.

I cant believe how much interest there was in it. A deposit was taken within 24 hours of the ad going on the forum.

Thanks to all those who have given me assistance, particularly Matt n Torz for introducing me to the club and also Beaker (Aidan) for his VW parts advice.

So thats me done, take care chaps.
