Hi anybody know if 10W40

Will be ok as can not seem to find 10W30 (SF) in halfords

It is foR a 2100cc petrol engine number ' DJ070581'

10/40 will be fine unless its on deaths door.

i have a new 2.1 dj fitted went in for oil yesterday and was given 15w40 should i put this in or go back and ask for 10w30 what does it mean 10/15 and 30/40 etc

10/30 is too thin 15/40 is ok.
