Van not starting when hot.

Post by scoobydrew »

Anyone got any ideas, 2.1 DJ does not start when hot, left for 10 -20 mins and she starts, starts fine when cold. Engine turns over no problems but will not start.
Changed the sensor for the injection a couple of years ago and that seemed to do the trick but now if i disconect the sensor when warm she still wont start. Distributor cap, rotor arm, HT leads, plugs are about 18 months old and I do about 2-3 thousand a year. Just replaced coil.

The only thing I can think of is to replace the thermostat and drain the system.

Any other ideas greatly recieved.

Cheers Rob,
Forgot to say that the starter was replaced about 6 weeks ago with a new one.
