well its more a door handle
the handle on my sliding door is kind of sagging, as in its not sitting right,
has anyone had the same problem? if so how did you sort it out?
is it worth bothering with or shall i just tilt my head slightly whilst im walking past that side of my van to counteract the problem

The reason mine sagged to an angle was because it was on its way out. Basically the handle is a cast piece and the square part of it that sits inside the lock and turns it when you turn the handle was all cracked on mine. Take it off and have a look, it's only a phillips screw that holds it in place. Hopefully it might just need the screw tightening but on mine it was all split, so I had to get a new handle. If you could find a very tight fitting ring to knock round it, it might hold it all together, but I couldn't find one. Take it off and you'll see what I mean.

I don't know about brand new handles, but the locks can be rebuilt-all of them-to have just one key. I believe Simon at the Brickwerks offers a lock rebuild service, and I'm sure there must be others who do so too.

They're about 50 squid from JK. There's one on Ebay, but it looks like it might go for more than a newun from JK!

Mine broke the other week. One of those jobs I'll probably put off as it's not really much bother to open pass door and reach in. Just don't lock you keys in!
