I'll second that. Brilliant weekend, superbly organised with good groups. Great pub on the Saturday, windy campsite on the Sunday. And some of the best views in England during the day. Nice touch being greeted with a beer on arrival at the finish. :D

Very impressed by the T4 only missing out on one obstacle, Doug needs either his head testing or his hand shaking. Or Both.

Superb weekend, absolutely exhausted. Thanks to everyone who looked after us over the weekend and particularly to Kev for finding some great lanes for us to drive.

BEAT THAT!

Were my thoughts several times on Saturday and Sunday... :D

...as it really will be a job to beat this weekend again... Kev's routes, detailed planning, the groupings and overall fun factor made this an event not to be missed - many thanks to him, Simon Baxter (idea, prizes and backup), SyncroStan (recce'ing help), Andy (Tyke) and many others I don't doubt...

and all those who entered, making it a terrific social too!

Kev dug deep there to find some of those lanes... some real beauts and the speed romps over the Moors finishing it off in fantastic style - a broken bulb, drop-link and a tailpipe falling off (across four syncros) after 12 hours driving on Sunday alone ...was proof that these Syncros are tough!

Very Paris Dakar that Moors driving... what views and what wildlife to be seen (some still in shock maybe  )

Personal thanks to Andy - man of the match - Simpson (exhaust manifold fixed twice,, 25 mile tow!) , Andy McClements (several bacon butties), HacksawBob (shelter, warmth, company and use of a cooker in Sunday night's wicked winds), Matt & Torz helping us put our tent up in the gale and making us tea Sunday morning and Sharon and Pete52 (cups of tea and for just being there) and loads of others...

and Dai & Debs, AndyS, PC52 and family for making up a great team...

and Dai & Debs, AndyS, PC52 and family for making up a great team...

Oh shiiit!

and Jenny for doing most of the navigation for the winning team over 280 miles

+ Tyke who joined our team on Sunday and as always, added that extra dimension :)

.. and our team had a really nice wind-down on Monday mooching around Robins Hood Bay and Scarborough before setting off home.

Sorry I couldnt make it... but I really didnt fancy the 700 mile round trip + the run, with limited camping equipment and vehicle issues.. it would have meant another manic drive around the country and I have been doing far too much of it this year...

Looks awesome though....

great weekend which wouldn't have happened without great skills from Kevh - top man. thanks also going out to Simon for going out of his way and getting me a starter motor after mine took a strop - never did buy you that pint, so it'll be saved for next time!

scenery was superb, lanes were testing for those of us who value our bodywork remaining in place (Doug, you're obviously excluded...) and the banter was of the highest order!

good to put some faces to names and allready looking forward to the next one - hopefully with more MUD next time.... (am I the only one who actually likes the stuff!)

andrew

p.s. are we sending in pics somewhere to be posted up or just using this link...????
You only need two tools in life - WD-40 and Duct Tape; If it doesn't move and should, use the WD-40. If it shouldn't move and does, use the duct tape.
