That's the old air-cooled bus with a pop top, myself my wife and two kids.
Now when I got to vehicle selection I noticed that if you clicked car, it specified a max height of 2.4 M and a max length of 5 M. If you clicked motor home/van the length jumped to 7M and no height was specified. Further more, I noticed that if I were to book the crossings I wanted as a car the price would be £43 if as a van £89. So which do you think I booked as, seeing as my van is around 4.5M long and 2.2M high.

I didn't for see a problem, and dutifully put in my vehicle details.
Then I got an email yesterday from Norfolk Line saying that they had noticed I had booked as a car and that the model of vehicle was a van. They suggested I pay a further £10 or I could have difficulties at check in and boarding.
I have of course paid the £10, it is still a very good deal, but it seems strange to me that they should charge more when the vehicle is within the sizes they specify, and if I had booked as a van I would have been charged much more.
The system means that you can't accurately book for a vehicle such as ours without either paying more than you should or having some sort of further dialogue with the booking office.
Does anyone else have experience of this with them?
