Coil wiring for T25 2000cc Aircooled camper

Post by Nashy1 »

Sorry if this topic has been done before but I'm a newby novice who's not very mechanically minded. I've recently had my repaired engine put back in my T25 2000cc Aircooled van but I don't know how to connect the coil up correctly and consequently I'm not getting a spark Please could any one help me out by sending me a wiring diagram or a photo of your engine or a link to a web site that might help. I've had a mobile mechanic have a look but he's scratching his head as well!! Thanks in advanced.

if you want to get it running just take a wire direct from the battery.

With information given to me from The Brickyard (black wires to 15 green wires to 1) I wired the three black wires to +ve and the other two wires (one blue and one green wire) to the -ve terminal, assuming 15 meant the +ve terminal and 1 meant -ve. The engine did burst into life for about 30 seconds and then cut out and wouldn't re-start. So close but yet so far. I assume there is a fault somewhere in the system that causes the spark to be intermittent. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
