Brakes gone!

Post by plymat »

Well, driving home the other night pulled up to a nice burning smell, then smoke coming from the front near side wheel.
Turned out that the caliper has stuck on, burnt the pads too.

Now replacing the Calipers, disc's, pads and bearings whilst it's all off (France trip in 8 weeks time :D ) on top of exhuast needing replacing and TAX coming through the post two days ago!

Oh the joys of a T25  still once it's all done...

All done and back on the road :D , new disc's / pads / calipers and bearings.
Both calipers were sticking on apparently, maybe gt 5mph and better mpg NOW!

Don't try and order any disc's from Lucas in the South West as I have just had the last set and there not replacing them

just thought i would say that i had a problem with my front brakes sticking and burning up, changed the callipers and they still stuck now and again. turned out to be the master cylinder causing the problem. which is cheeper than calipers for sure
