Exhaust-ing question on 1Y engine

Post by Hairbear »

Still not getting time to finish this conversion but....

I want to use the JX exhaust manifold without the turbo fitted.

I need to have made an adapter pipe that fits manifold and std. JX pipework without the turbo - i.e. an elbow.

Anyone done this?

Any dimensions for turbo etc.

Any better ideas?

Reason for doing this is that i've an almost new complete JX exhaust assembly that I would like to use.

Thanks in advance.

Gareth

easiest thing to do is gut a turbo and use that as your adaptor, whatever you do its going to mess up the exhaust flow badly.

Sounds like a waste of a JX manifold and turbo to me when a CS manifold and exhaust will fit and bolt on, off the shelf.
