1980 Accelerator Cable just snapped, help!!!

Post by mearnsy »

cable just snapped at the engine end, so before i called the recovery i cut down the metal cable housing to try and release more cable to tie to the other part, but no luck.

Was this a big mistake and do i have to replace this as well with the cable?

If so where can i get all this quickly as its Wittering next weekend!!!!!

you could join the two bits with an electrical chockblock if they reach each other? (chockblocks are the things that come in banks of about 6 with white plastic outside and 2 screws per block for joining wires.)
