The Peugeot/Citroen engine sin`t a fail-safe engine. If it was at tickover you may be lucky and it`s just stopped dead. The valves operate straight up and down, so the pistons knock back any open valves directly upwards, so may not have bent them, PROBLEM is that the valve coming straight back up can snap the camshaft and / or broken the valve bearing caps. Whip off the cam cover lid and have a quick look for any obvious damage first. Then it`s head off and check for valve damage/seats leaking
Keep it real.
