Noisy slider..........

Post by shepster »

My sliding door seems to be making a knocking/creaking type noise when i go over bumps, it's silent when on smooth roads, from the top bracket (the one with the nylon block that fits in the track) is there any adjustment needed or is this just how they are? it's an early type by the way.

Shep,,,,,I was nearly caught out by this very same problem shortly before 'Bustypes', it turned out to be the top slider plastic guide was flopping about in the track, coz the securing bolt had come loose I think due to all the vibes it gets every time you shut the door.

Anyroad a quick tweek with the old 15mm spanner did the trick.

It is adjustable, so make sure you have it in the right place before you tighten everything up.
