I am about to use Rustoleum (see frost web link) for the same job and rub it down afterwards before I put on a top coat of the original colour.

You can roller this on too so easy job - must be diluted with at least 20% thinners

zinc 182, £10 per litre spray on brush on etc. anywhere decent will sell it.
