Is there a 5 speed gear box for the 2litre CU?

According to Simon Brickyard's probably exhaustive list of gearbox codes I don't think so.

Can't you make one fit?

Dang, I meant to say that. Careful study of the ratios will show you why the 5th gear isn't going to blow your socks off. 5 gear boxes on these vans really just give finer control not taller gears.

As far as I know the 5 speed gearboxes have closer ratios than the 4 speed ones as from what I remember (from what I have read) they're not much different in terms of top speed.

Didn't think so.

.85 4th gear on the CU box revs about 4k at 65mph! Some 5 speed boxes have .81 or .77
