Calabration problems

Post by juzzietype25 »

Ive got a pair of worn Carbs on my 2l Aircooled van. Have taken it in and been told they need replacing but think there is still some life in them at the moment.

Last time the garage had it they recalibrated them and its run fine for a good 8-10 months. I dont want to take it back as its a job I should be able to do myself but dont know where to start.

Does any one know how to recalabrate and have an idots guide to doing it (i have limited tech knowledge but am learning).

Cheers all.

Not sure what you have but the Haynes manuals usually cover such things.

Carbs shouldn't need replacing but parts do wear. Needle jet is the normal one to do.
