Help me get to VanWest tomorrow!

Post by edmundator »

I replaced the master cylinder in my van and managed to bleed the rear brakes no problem. Unfortunately I can't get the bleed nipple on either front caliper to loosen off - neither even seems to fit a spanner any more (rounded off from corrosion I suspect).

What do I do now?

I've tried mole-grips without too much success. I really wanted to take my van over to Somerset tomorrow but at this rate I'll have to go over in the Lupo.

If anyone's local to Exeter and fancies giving me a hand that would, of course, be even better. I can offer beer (lager) as payment!

You'll need a boat or at the very least a Syncro if you're hoping to go tomorrow.

It's been lashing it down at Vanwest overnight then another heavy downpour earlier today and the forecast is for "Big Rain" tomorrow morning.

Maybe my van's just trying to help me out...

I suppose I could just stay home and watch the grand prix.
