Alternator replacement

Post by syncroandy »

I need to replace the 90A alternator on my JX powered Syncro, which I killed at Coney Farm by running it whilst it was full of mud.

The 65A version seems more readily available and cheaper, so will there be any problem substituting the 90A with a 65A ? I have no power-sapping optional extras that I know of.

Just replaced my 90 with a 65, everything fits straight on apart from the 3-4" bar for adjusting belt tension, i had the correct bar but a spacer could be used. I have loads of power sapping extras and it seems ok.
