t25 temp gauge problems
Hi all, my temp gauge on t25 1.9 "E" reg autosleeper trident has decided to stop working all together the red flashing light still works though as it flashes briefly when ignition is turned on. Are the temp gauges (or its components prone to failure, as I have heard that the instrument cluster is rather fragile, Is this correct?. Is it going to be something easily rectified or will it be another trip to a mechanic and therefore cost me another arm and a leg. Any ideas or advice would be greatly appreciated

Yes the temp guages are prone to failure.
Check the muti plug on the back of the dash.
The temp sensor wires are another source of failure, the connectors corrode.
The LED flashes on startup as a self test, but does not test the sensors (ie water level and temp)
