Evening,

Hope you can help! at some point some will need to renew the collant in my 1.6td, no haynes manual covers the engine so until ive done it once going blind. best if i rattle off a few questions:

1, whats the best coolant for a VW 1.6td
2, wheres the drain plug ?
3, any other things i should look out for!!

Diesels are not critical with coolant like the waterboxers, any quality stuff will do. There is no drain plug, remove big hose off water pump and one of the smaller ones, this will get rid of alot, give it a good flush out with water and tip 7.5-8 of pure antifreeze and bleed system.

T25 diesels are usually covered in the Golf manuals.
