Replacing coolant hoses

Post by mark206000 »

Hi,

I've had a few coolant hoses burst and split on me recently and am having trouble getting replacements from vw. Latest one to go is short with a tight bend in it, i'd have to run quite a long hose around a different way to get the bend without creasing the hose :? One end is bigger that the other also to make things more difficult !

Whats everyone else doing for replacements ? 2nd hand ones wouldn't be in great condition either I wouldn't think.

Cheers,

Mark

I managed to use a longer hose and sweep it away and back again to make the bend. Got a 2ft hose instead of a 6 inch one now !

Halfwits do some in various lengths which have coiled steel inside to maintain rigidty. (Oi!) Try to find the member of staff with the least acne when requesting.
