Post by lhd »

I keep seeing ones for landrovers and the like going a lot cheaper than I'm being quoted for a westy one amd don't want to pay £180.00 for a new one......
anything I should need to know....

That tank doesn`t look like a Westy type one (not like mine or the ones I`ve seen) but should be OK with suitable fittings etc.
Keep it real.

I stand corrected, looks different to the later ones then. Later Westy original type ones still available new from Germany, but not for £180 !!

LHD, is it a camping gas tank you`re after, or an LPG tank to run the engine from? If it`s for running the engine, deffo Steve at Gasure is your man, knows what`s what and everyone says good service. Check out the website

this is the optional larger 32ltr tank rather than the standard 26ltr(think thats the size) tank. dont know how long this option was around for but when i got the westfalia order form that came with my joker translated thats what was ordered.
