Cruise control
I'm trying to understand the cruise control on my Caravelle GL.
It is a bit lazy, ( usualy requiring a little foot pressure on the accelerator to maintain speed) so before I clean everything up and check the vacuum lines, a quick question.
The switch on the indicator stalk has three positions, off, on, what does the third sprung position do??
The fix button on the end of the stalk works OK.

Troubleshooting the CC is very well covered in the Bentley manual (section 27.25) , may be worth borrowing or buying a copy.

Thanks folks.
I've got the Bentley book, but I didn't think it covered the operation of the switch.
CC is great. but slightly annoying when set at 70mph and the guy in front is doing 68
Touching the brake or switching CC off is like suddenly driving through treacle.

badger wrote:Check the throttle pedal pivots to make sure they aren't stiff. After setting the CC, i just leave a very light application of throttle and after a second or two you feel the cc take over and the pedal drops a little, then just sit back, put your feet on the dash![]()
This all very well for you lucky people with CC - but can it be retro fitted ?
