Tinware sources???

Post by tobzman »

Whilst working under my van the other night to locate a fuel supply problem it became apparent that I really should start putting together a replacement set of tinware :(
I know this isn't going to be any easy task but is there anywhere that people can think of that are likely to have tinware in as near to perfect condition as possible? Or am I gonna have to print the exploded diagram of the wiki and start tralling the autojumbles until I've found it all?

I'm guessing that nobody will ever tool up to start remaking it given the T25 wasn't Aircooled for very long. I can see this being a headache for a lot of people, what's everybody elses plans for replacements???

Cheers

I have pretty much 3 sets of all the top stuff. None of the bottom though.

Pm me if you want some.

Well I guess that would be a start Lee, how much would you want for as many different parts as you're willing to part with???

Not too desparate yet as I reckon I can get another couple of years out of my current set but if the price was right.

What sort of condition is it all in and could you post some pics???

Surface rust, but more than useable, I was going to clean, treat with vactan, paint and reuse myself, but decided the ratvan is beyond help.

Lee
If you would be able to post some decent pics on here or send them to me at ken_kaniff69dude@hotmail.com that would be greatly apprieciated.
I trust you that it's in good order but secondhand tinware is one of those things that you really need to see to evaluate.
If it all looks good we can start talking prices.
