...After pulling the engine out and ripping the head off ref this thread https://club8090.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=19134

I found that the piston surfaces had little chunks missing, like really bad acne scars :shock: What the blithering heck?

So that engine is buggered, I have another one though, I seem to be collecting knackered CU/CJ engines (5 at the moment). :shock:

Pity I can't swap them all for a recon one... :P :?:

What caused this? My best guess is running lean on LPG.

running lean or over advanced timing.
