Friend buying a van in Herefordshire: help needed

Hi, my friend Ginny wants a camper van, probably heading for t25, has found a possible in Peterchurch, west Herefordshire.

D reg, 56k, 1.9, hi-top, Holdsworth conversion that has been ripped out with a view to being re-done. Belonged to an elderly couple for 15 years, minimal use. £2450.

Sounds very fine, but if there's anyone who could help with a viewing she'd be very grateful and would pay petrol etc. Or just answer her questions. I've sent her in the direction of the wiki and here, but she's not a heavy internet user.

I'll keep an eye on this thread for her, but if anyone could be kind enough to contact her direct I'd be happy to pass on her phone number via PM.

check the top half of the interior carpets for rot, it really is anoying when tiny bits of 20 year old rubber get in your eyes. when you are trying to sleep.

Hmm, I'd never have thought of that. Though on this one I think all carpets have been stripped.

so what exactly is your friend hoping to buy? just a solid, reliable good condition camper, then spend a bit to fit new interior, gas, water and electrical hookup? its sounds like a nice idea and at least you can estimate the cost for it all instead of thinking something is okay and realising it isn't when you come around to using it.
