Clanging, Banging and Changing.

My van has started to make noises from the rear end. It sounds like I am towing a trailer with a box full of tools rattling behind me.

The noise is only there on bumpy surfaces or traffic Calming humps.

Cant see anything obvious - even checked the Anti Roll bar - even though I know its from the back end. Its not the Drive shafts.

I suspect the rear brakes - as I have recently had strong wiffs of brake pad.

Any idea's?

Was a broken coil spring. The broken bit (last few coils) were bouncing around on the swing arm within the rest of the spring.

Did the brakes anyway whilst I was in there.
