Whirring noise

Me gearbox is making a whirring noise used to be only in third but seems to have spread to the rest gears are selecting fine and seems to go quieter when the clutch is pressed any ideas its a 1.9dg TA

Gears are wearing out, save up for a replacement or a recon. One day it will not chage gear any more.

Also try changing Oil, (or at least top up) possibly add a gearbox additive to prevent noise, may keep you going as bit longer.
