It was done by Steve and i too have the same sheet but all it refers to is some filter or other which should only be touched by the 'an approved installer'.

If its out of warranty then do it yourself, the filter is in the LPG filter unit between the tank and vaporiser. Please note if its the older bowl type then filters are no longer available for them.
As the sheet says add this to your service,

* Check joints for leakage by applying a bit of soapy water to them, do not over tighten as the joint will be damaged.

* Visual the rubber hoses for drying out and cracking.

* Use single point spark plugs, Bosch W7DC for the 1.9, Bosch W7DT for the 2.1 and Bosch W8CC for the 2.0 AC.

* Inspect the filter for contamination every 12 month and repalce every 24 months

Now I'm sure you can cope with that.

Hi guys,

My dad has just bought a camper with an LPG conversion (not sure who did the conversion, place in Tiverton apparently) and he's asked me to service it in a couple of weeks when I go down.

Anything in particular I need to bear in mind when doing it?

Anything additional, other than what Steve has listed above, that I need to do for the LPG side of things?

Thanks,
Andy

Idling etc.

Post by stevewright76 »

With idling etc. I quote toomanytoys who helped me a bunch - see http://forum.club8090.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=13511 for full thread
toomanytoys wrote:Clockwise reduces lpg anti clockwise increases LPG, does nothing to the air though..
If you are adjusting the one in the hose from Vaporiser to carb then that isnt what you need to do.. the idle bleed is one of the screws on the side of the body of the vaporiser it needs opening a bit.. normal range is 1-1.5 (no more than 2) turns out..

Never blindly turn things a full turn.. it makes an amazing difference, 1/4 turn max at any time but mark the original setting before you change any thing.. (then you can go back tothat if it doesnt work)

Be warned.. always consult your installer BEFORE changing anything...
