Trying to get hold of a LHD accelerator cable for a 1.6 1981 Diesel to fix my problem in another thread - VW have deleted it from the stock list. JK GSF only do RHD What can I do. Any ideas please?

length I think! Simon suggested going for an '82 one as it would probably be the same but not deleted!

Seems chassis-number dependant according to ETOS. There are two lengths of LHD diesel throttle cable, 3945mm (251 721 555 C) and 3980mm (251 721 555 S). The former one is deleted, the latter one is not, and is 16.34 plus VAT.

The deleted one seems to be for chassis numbers prior to F 24-D-000 001.

If it's the longer one that's still available shirly it's no hardship as there is just more spare to feed through the screw thing at the pedal end?

Yep, was about to say that. I had to do the same when I fitted a bored up beetle lump in a crewcab. Just buy the longest available.
