alternator wires

there are 2 thin wires comming from my alternator, 1y diesel.

they are a blue and yellow/red strip. id like to connect these up to the 2 wires in the van. but they are blue and red/blck strip.

id guess blue to blue leaving the yellow/red connecting to the red/black wire

I need this connected so that i can install my split charge system..

Yes put the blue ones together, blue is always the dash light. Connect the others together they are for the rev counter but it will over read.

at some point a rev counter would be good. ill keep an eye out for a dash with rev counter..

If you do you will need JX pulleys and alternator, the drive ratio is different.

Yes but i think it will need to be diesel speific.
