HELP PLEASE! Engine swap advice needed (CU engine)

Post by www.charitytour.co.uk »

Hi all,

I have swapped the CT engine out in and replaced it with the CU engine. All went well but I've got a few problems with the vacuum hoses and where they go & the carb and inlet conections.

Has anyone got a photo of a CU engine all conected up? Preferably without the airbox on?

I've trauled through my haynes manual to see where the balance pipe beteen the carbs should connect but had no luck.... where does the vacuum hose that is supposed to join the balance pipe connect to?

As you can see all my questions are connection related..... can anyone give me a list of what pipes go where????? Or a clear photo of all the pipework???

Many thanks

Gareth :?

I've just replaced a cu, and used these pics for alot of stuff. though there are some differances in the vacum pipes that maybe someone can clear up.

Cheers for the link.... I used this photo but it doesn't show the connections on the inlet manifolds and carbs..... does anyone have one so I can see if I've connected up correctly?

Thanks

Gareth
