Aftermarket kit will do fine, easy to fit as VW made the doors etc ready for the motors so there is plenty of space to fit and screw them in.
Did mine along with an alarm/immobilser, so the doors lock from the remote fob when I arm and disarm it. Works great. Sliding door will need door contactor switch, I used a pair from a Caravelle. Rear tailgate lock has to be the central locking type, there are two different locks. Quick to check though, the central lock type is a lot bigger, and has a sliding bar thing on it that opens and closes the lock from the motor. The non-central lock type is just a rotary type lock.
Try Syncrospares for all the second-hand bits like locks and contact plate etc.

I got an after market kit from Maplins about £15-£20. You can set up the rotary type rear door lock to operate with these actuators but in order to do so I had to fabricate a suitable bracket and sliding bar device to physically obstruct the forward movement of the lock barrel when the van is locked. Took about 1/2 day.
Can I ask westyjoker how you linked up the alarm and CL? Was it via a two way switching relay?
Cheers

Hey Vanjam,
the CL was linked into the Toad alarm/immob when it was installed, so dunno how/what makes it work.
The rear door lock is a pain to make work if you don`t have the CL type, I fabricated what you said, and it worked, but not good enough for piece of mind. A second-hand CL lock mechanism was 25 quid from Syncrospares and they also had the Caravelle sliding door contact plate, so I decided to do the job properly in the end. Works reliably now. The VW CL lock is vastly different from the normal lock.
