I have often wondered if the tailgate has a double lock action. You know like a car door?
so the question is is there a safety catch on it?
mine just shuts and no secondary lock but I've always thought it could go in a bit further.

As i found out when fitting the remote solenoid to the bootlid there are indeedy 2 stages in the locking mech. IF you can loosen the base part of the lock just slide it out a bit to make it double lock.

Ok it's fixed I just had to push the gate in another 3/4 inch and it went 'click'
no draught now and a bit quieter
