Help, Syncro Wanted

Post by mud »

Still looking for a Syncro. Ideally it will be diesel/ RHD/camper or van body/ 16" but I will consider absolutely anything. Cash waiting up to about £4,500 for the right one. :ok

Don't mind petrol or diesel, but want a pop top / high top as I am 6'2 and am sick of bumbing my head on my splitty roof, so as tempting as the yellow one is - no high roof. Incedentally how much is it to put diff locks on one that doesn't have them as theat petrol one on ebay needs them. Is it just me or is £7K for a LHD syncro with no diff locks a bit steep?

Change whole transmission to put difflocks on, + a bit more work, if pneumatics aren't there either = NOT CHEAP

Sound a bit rich, but then not everyone thinks difflocks are essential, many only have one, but really a rear is pretty important for steep climbs if they're heavily rutted especially

My Autosleeper high top syncro camper is for sale.

Been a good van for us but now we have the Westy I really ought to move this van on to a good home!

Its a 1987 E reg, 2.1 petrol, original Autosleeper. Front rear difflocks. Needs a bit of bodywork round the windows (Autosleepers disease) but mechanically sound.

Pmail me if interested.

That westy high top in wales is back on thievebay. No difflocks though. I have missed two syncros now. Chasing a lost cause and being too slow. Could be Europe I think...
