hi all.......i'm looking for whatever it is that goes between solex 34 pict carb and inlet manifold heater.....a mech that cleaned the carb out said it was all split so he wacked a load of sealant on there as a temp fix.....however air is getting in there and causing probs on warm up so I need to get a new 'un....can't seem to find one anywhere though !!

any ideas much appreciated

I noticed mine was split too and has problems during the warm up, eg 10 miles or so needed to stop it stalling at junctions.. If you read down the thread apparently GSF do this thick rubber flange much cheaper than the £50 VW want for it.. if it is for a DG engine I have the bit at home, but it is not the big rubber flange bit I reckon you have like me.

actually based on your issues I have just ordered one from GSF now

damn, replaced part... still stalls when warming up

although at least the carb now moves with the engine rather than being all floppy on top of it.

if its stalling when warming up adjust the choke..

I am not sure you can adjust the choke on a solex?
