The old Sprag's wasn't the only thing that went flying at Coney...
PeteM flying...

PC52's (Pete) Doka... and Mrs PC52 (Sharon) took to the wooded slopes like a duck to water! Only limitation was those intermediate tyres, giving marginal grip at times. As you can see was very dry and dusty, drains and dries on that sandstone very quickly.

Nope... after all it did make it (just ), performed OK and didn't completely fall apart thanks to this man...

But does tend to be a bit of a weight around our necks at times (esp. when trying to start it; video to follow)... let's keep faith a bit longer, eh?

Yep, large grin factor......
Superb weekend..

Thanks again to Russel for taking me for a spin in mine and doing exactly what I did on the slope, so I dont feel I did it wrong.. (lack of experience..)
Thanks to Clive for the run down my "nemesis" slope.. Yep the video of us going down makes it look scary when the back wheel goes up in the air.. oh and the "words" from Torz adds to the drama...

Thanks to Crazy D for co-piloting and video shoots.. hope you got some more good uns, most came out on mine... I couldnt have been too scary as he kept getting back in

Above all, thanks to everyone for making it a relaxed and fun time..

Great pics, a lot of mine from inside are of the foot well!! We are both gratefull for the advice going up and down hill and especially when you sat in with us considering we are complete novices.
So, now the brakes will be sorted, beasty tyres (been offered colways for £30 each - wait to see if he can produce), that bl**dy squeak and some more practice off road.

Yes Peet, that bloody squeak can really get you down, almost as much as a front-diff whine at motorway speeds - gawd, that rattles my cage
Always a revelation getting into a nice Syncro that's as quiet as a lamb (are lamb's quiet? blimey, dunno)

On a technical note ,and since diesel AAZ engines seem to be the HOT topic , mine has done the feeding on oil into the inlet manifold twice in two days (scary engine revs) both times going round a right hand corner ,such as a roundabout. I`ve now disconnected the breather pipe from the rocker cover to the air inlet to manifold. We`ll see if this stops it from happening again!

Hope you've put a cork in it John, down't bottom of main inlet pipe where the carnk breather pipe joins up... just in case you go wading inadvertently!
