Shop around Both private and Business, or import your own from Germany.

The standard petrols are not reknowned for their efficiency, although you can LPG them at a cost. Diesel is better for economy and offroad. Ideally a 1.9Td or even better a TDi. No professional conversion is cheap

Three syncro specialists come to mind:

http://www.syncroenginerring.com

http://www.syncrospares.co.uk

Last but not least, is http://www.syncro-nutz.com whom don't generally sell vehicles but sometimes have them for sale. They specialise in servicing, repair and TD/TDi syncro conversions.

A Syncro is a completely different kettle of fish to a Mog. Not as good offroad, but better as an everyday vehicle (IMHO). Depends what you want it for really!
