HELP needed to insure camper for 4 month trip in europe

Post by syncro4us »

HELP HELP stop me going insane with insurance companies!!!

we are taking our syncro on a round europe trip from about end March 2007 to end July 2007 and need to get insurance cover for the vehicle.
Our current insurnace company Carol Nash will only renew end April when we are away and its already taken 3 days to get any sense out of them and we dont want to be let down or be hanging on the phone in the middle of Greece for another 3 days trying to organise it.
So can any one let me know /suggest a reasonably priced insurance company that will give comprehensive cover and also give breakdown cover for the trip. We have a 1986 syncro with westfalia lh drive 2.1litre petrol engine running on LPG

Please Help

thanks

Kevin

Hi, Mrs Lloyd here..

Try the RAC.. I found them to be very reasonable for fully comp with 1 extra driver (non-UK).. cheaper if ur a member too!

Best of luck!

I'm in the same situation.

I used Adrian Flux, they will also give you a discount with a club80-90 membership number. Don't have the details with me at work, but was the cheapest I could get, was under £200 fully comp on a High Top '89 Transporter conversion. Not so sure on the European cover, but it is specifically motorhome cover, so they might well be able to help. Good luck.

Hi guys, if your still hunting, have you tried "Albingia". Its a German insurance company, and although I haven't been with them for many years, whilst in Germany for 9 they were excellent. They are on the web, and if you call in Germany i'm sure they will "speaka da inglish" to ya :D

best of luck!
