Does anyone know if these ignition units are are universal across Electrolux 3-way fridges, or do you have to get one specific for the fridge model? Ours is an Electrolux RM212F fridge. I'm planning on posting a thread in the C80-90 'Wanted' section and need to clarify exactly what we're after. Can't afford the £68 price on www.partmaster.co.uk at the moment.
Very grateful for any info, Tony

Thanks Mike. I'd been wondering about that as an alternative. Can you remember how much it cost or where you got it from? Same question would apply I suppose, are the Piezo igniters universal or model specific?

Hi Tony
I got a second hand piezo unit from another member ages ago, If I recollect you need to change the gas valve mounting bracket as the one you will have has a rectangular hole for the switch and the piezo needs a round hole.
If you go down this route make sure you get the wire from the piezo to the electrode as its longer than the one from the electronic unit.
All in all Itseasy to do ,go for it

Thanks again Mike, some very helpful tips there! Just looked at www.partmaster.co.uk again and there are 14 Piezo igniters listed which are suitable for Electroloux fridges, no mention of the RM212F model that we've got though!
