I've managed to rip the threads out in the hole for the engine sump drain plug so it's heli-coil time. I've got a new sump plug already so i know it's an M14. Problem is that i can't find my thread pitch gauge so i can only guess at the pitch. The ETKA says it's 1.5 but before i drop £40 on a Heli-coil kit i want to confirm it's 1.5. Anyone know this or am i going into town tomorrow for a new thread pitch gauge.
Cheers
Dave

hi m8
the pitch is easily measured,,, just get a tape measure or ruler and measure from peak to peak on the thread. (ie distance beetween individual threads)
they only work to 0.5mm so if it looks like 1.5mm between threads thats the pitch.
hope this helps
