dont think this is the best carb for this engine really fella.
the thing is the cu has two 34 mmm choke carbs as standard and by putting the twin choke weber your kind of strangling it a bit!!!
also the really long inlet can cause carb icing in cold weather.
i have a cu motor but have fitted twin dellortos which make a huge difference.
if your mind is set on fitting the weber take it to a rolling road as it will need rejetting to get anything like the power you want from it.
also running lean kills aorcooled motors.
its well worth the money.
i use www.raceshack.co.uk
good lads there.

Cheers Jason...
Thanks for the reply.. The reason that I bought the carb is because the solexes on the engine at the moment are past thier best and I can't get the engine running properly because of the leaky carbs!
So.. I thought that having ONE carb that I understand would be better.. I could never understand the solexes!
I would love to go to twin dellortos but the finances won't allow it !! second hand twin carbs seem to go for 150 + and I got the weber for les than £70. I will scrape the cash together for a rolling road setup though.. What kind of MPG are you getting??

better than stock solexes!!! around 22 to 25 mpg and i dont hang around in it either!!!!
speak to raceshack as you will have to up jet the weber a fair bit to sort it out.
the weber will set and run as stock bit you wont be doing the motor any favours !!!
when i first set mine on my mates mot emission thing the co was bang on at idle but when raceshack put it on the dyno it was massively lean at the top end. you should have roughly 12 parts air to 1 part fuel at full bore....... i had 30 air to 1 petrol and very hot cylinder heads!!!!!
good luck fella
