Am in the process of making an air circulator for the van(bit o pipe from the roof wit a pc fan in 1 end ) as in my hightop all my lovely heat hides up in the roof and escapes out the roof vent
My question is though is it going to be more efficient to have the fan mounted at the top blowing downwards or at the bottom sucking upwards.
Who has a degree an can put it to some use
Carlsberg dont do campers.......... but if they did they'd build the T25
wouldnt it be better just to isolate the vent from the nasty outside environment and block it? i went to austria in february in the back of a minibus(cold) we taped the vent up (warm). but if your van is that cold, i take it your unfortunate enough to have an Aircooled!!! in that case, sorry thats as warm as it gets.
ps, a fan isnt going to do a thing.

No i dont have an Aircooled i have a 1.6 smoker. I think its got summit to do wit the -3 that it was outside. 3 weeks ago my toes turned purple and all my fingers swelled up due to the freezin conditions. have only just recovered. Trust my eber too give me grief on the coldest week of the year here in ireland(doin a 3.5 month tour).
now its warmin up thought it was about time i sorted a circulator for my van

If you insulate the roof well, the heat will come down and say hello, rather than disappearing, as well as shutting the roof-vent when you're cold?

You don't say what discipline is required though - Fluid mechanics perhaps
You need to pipe the hot air down to your lower regions not blow it down, a centrifugal blower would be best of at least 3" diameter, hose ditto dia. not a silly axial-flow fan
