Replacement Speedo

Post by javawolf »

Just a quick question. Does anyone know if a speedo from a 1.9 Watercooled van will show the correct speed if fitted in a 2.0 Aircooled? My speedo is starting to jam (not the cable and the odo still counts) and I have an offer of one from a 1.9? I'd like to swap it out before it dies.

Any comments would be welcome.

Thanks.

Speedo is driven from the front wheel hub, so even if you had no engine at all, and pushed it eveywhere it would still show the same speed no matter what :)
Keep it real.
