Hi
Day two of ownership!
The side door fell off!, nothing major, due to the little wheel thingy (the single vertical one, not the 2 side by side) on the middle runner has become in two pieces, does anyone know if these are still available ?
Also, is it going to be as easy to fit as it looks?
Look forward to any response.
Cheers
Munnyella

yesthey are available from vw, you need to know what year/chassis number as they changed - they are not cheap - so maybe try the breakers for a good s/h one. I sold my last spare one recently.
I have seen a version of this roller with a replaceable centre bearing, as well as the more common one with integral bearing. The replaceable bearing is quite cheap from your local bearing place rather than vw.

Re: Side door wheel bearing thingy
I have had my bus for a month now and the side door fell off due to the fact the middle runner fell in half.
Been trying to source one for a while now....would be good to hear how you got on?

Re: Side door wheel bearing thingy
fyi I got the FAG original part number from one and ran it past my bearing supplier who contacted fag who said sorry haven't got any and no plan to make any, so vw or I believe heritage have got them, otherwise it's used ones from the usual sources, i don't have any spare the Mockster/Martin took the one I had earlier in the year, and I had to replace mine after the one I had with the replaceable inner bearing split and the door fell off
so whilst having the replaceable bearing was a good idea it doesn't stop the alloy casing wearing through as the edge of the runner gets rusty and rough

Re: Side door wheel bearing thingy

Mine did the same. Rang just kampers and they said they didnt do one but they list a similar part for a bay window van. Someone on here advised me it was the same so i took a chance and ordered it - £20 ish so quite expensive. Fits fine and no appreciable difference in dimension when put next to the original. Works a treat. Cant find the part number at the mo - will check my receipts later.
Good luck
Jamie
where's mi thammer?
