I am looking for a nice Syncro to ween me off of my Land Rover addiction!
Ideally I am a proper 16" van/camper or bus with RHD and a diesel engine.
Not too much to ask is it
Please help me before I go and buy another Defender

Thanks for that Matt, I emailed him this morning. I know I am asking a lot but ideally I would prefer a diesel (fussy, me)

You are a proper 16" van/camper? Mmm
Syncro 16's are LHD (apart from 1)
or maybe 2...

Don't be
The 14s are perfectly strong and capable enough in all respects.... and should be cheaper of course.

There were 2 used in the Trans Australia Rally, or summat, but 2.1's, shame.
One was a high top camper, the other was a crew cab.
I have seen some video footage of them somewhere.
Then there is the one Mike Plompen had recently, so they are out there (CrewCab again)

There are a few RHD 16inches in the world
Australia
1x Crewcab 16inch 2,1 petrol
1x panelvan 16inch
South-africa
1x 16inch caravelle 2,1 petrol , ex embassy car (i believe russian)
Germany
1x crewcab 16inch 1.6TD
1x bus 16inch (not 100%confirmed)
UK
1x RHD crewcab 1.6TD 16inch , ex busman, ex germany
Both crewcabs (UK and Germany)
were ordered by an english VW dealer but for some resoan they never went to the UK , stayed in germany a nd were registred in 1994.
Any additions are welcome.
