What is it?

Post by glennyboy2 »

I have a 1988 panel van. 1.7 diesel. Just to the left of the steering wheel. at about knee height on the dash, is a pull out thing like a choke. Didn't know if diesels have ccoke, or is it a fresh air duct thing??

I used to pull mine out when starting from cold and then push back in when the van was up to running temp. Worked fine for me...

Hey, mine could be pulled out at any time, cranking/not cranking, whenever.

It's connected into a thingy in the pump, which has no connections into the starter or anything, so you should be able to pull out any time you want, Rob.
