Need help with new engine prob, please help!

Hey,

My friends 2.0 air cooled engine went in his T25 not so long ago.

He was told the engine was of code CJ, so he bought a replacement from big boys toys i think.

Now the engine has been removes its become apparent that its a CT engine code.

What 'bits' are required to allow him to replace the CT with the CJ that he has bought? Or, should it just drop in easily?

jeez !!!!!
He needed either a CT, (1600cc)or a more of an upgrade would be a CU (1970cc)

to change to a dj can be done, but a radiator would be a good place to start...........then alternator, starter, gearbox, inj system, wiring....

Oh bugger, sorry about that.

That was a typo- the engine he has bought is a CJ, NOT DJ!!!

rats, the CJ is an Aircooled engine for the bay
the CU is very similar, think the CJ is more upright
any chance your mate copuld ring BBToys and have a swap ??

I'm pretty sure that the gear box would need to be changed,even for a CU. but Marcus will confirm as he has done this...
