daft one I know (they usually are from me)

that Araldite stuff, have got some but lost the instructions

do you mix 50 red tube/50 white tube? Does it have to 'go off' before use etc?

Depending on the type of Araldite its either a 50/50 mix or sometimes a different ratio between the hardner and base product.
Mix it up and then use it staright away, keeping the parts you are bonding uder pressure until it cures, anything from 20 minutes to 24 hours full cure depending on the grade of araldite.
You could do a simple test bond between two pieces of card to determine the correct ratio and establish the cure time before using the rest of the product to do the proper job.
