Granada wheels, I need your help.

Post by sherlock »

I have the wheels & the nuts/bolts (not the merc looking wheels) these ones go straight on no opening up the middle. The only thing I need is some collers that fit on the nuts/bolts so they dont pull through the wheel. If this all sounds a bit odd then heres the lowdown....the hole where the nut/bolt go's through is only just smaller than the nut head, so I'm told that a coller on each nut/bolt is needed. Looking on many threads this is the case . All I want to know is where do I get them from ???? before you suggest it iv'e tried Simon Baxter and fireturk (no joy with both). If you know where I can get them at a good price I will be one very happy chap. Many thanks up front. :)
Sherlock.

I think you are refering to a thing called a "Ghia" wheel nut, but these are only available in M12.
I have fitted the wheels I think you mean (big fat 5 spoke) with standard tapered nuts in the past without problem.
Post a picture to make sure we are on about the same thing.

Hows it going Elvis? an old boy in Stafford made them for me who has his own workshop at home, about £50 a set if i remember right, as for tyres lots of people will tell you that a load index of over 97/98 is what you need which i'm sure is correct but my tyres have an index of 91 and 93 which i know a lot of people will frown upon and start going on about insurance etc but i have had these tyres fitted for over 3 yrs without any problems, and as far as i'm aware unless the tyres are a contributing factor to an accident then there is no issue.
